Many gyms see demand in their community for regular CPR + first-aid certification courses. You can get certified to teach CPR courses yourself. And if you're already certified through another organization, you can get a ProTrainings certification at no extra cost.
ProTrainings believes that everyone should have access to life-saving CPR + first aid training. Anyone can complete this course, you'll only pay $39.95 per person when you pass the final exam and receive your two-year CPR certification. Training meets or exceeds CrossFit, IBJJF, and other organizations' requirements.
There’s no catch! We pre-negotiated this offer for our gym community so everyone could access enterprise-level pricing. By partnering with ProTrainings and applying as a group, we were able to secure discounted rates normally reserved for large organizations. ProTrainings loved the idea and put together this special training offer for us to share with you.
Most of the training is completed online, with either a live, online or in-person assessment for the CPR portion.
These courses are great for anyone who works in or around a gym, owners, coaches, personal trainers, and front-desk staff alike.
Even if you’re not part of a gym, CPR and First Aid skills are valuable anywhere emergencies might happen.
If you’re a certified trainer (for example, CrossFit, martial arts, or BJJ), check your organization’s requirements. Most certifications require current CPR + First Aid training to stay valid.
The advanced course is especially helpful for gym owners and managers who want their whole team trained in safety, professionalism, and emergency response.
Absolutely! These classes are open to everyone, not just gym staff. Whether you’re an owner, coach, member, or just someone who wants to be prepared in an emergency, you’re welcome to enroll.
Your certification is valid for two years. After that, it’s recommended that you renew to stay current with the latest training standards. CPR and First Aid guidelines evolve as medical professionals update best practices, so renewing helps you stay prepared and confident if an emergency happens.
Beyond CPR and First Aid, training in bloodborne pathogens helps your team respond safely if someone is injured, while sexual harassment prevention promotes a respectful, professional culture for staff and members alike. Together, these courses help you create a safer gym space for all your members.
This course covers how to protect yourself and others from blood and other infectious materials when responding to a medical emergency. It will also cover how to keep your gym clean and safe for everyone. This course is especially relevant for Jiu Jitsu and martial arts gyms, where close contact during practice can lead to a higher risk of infections, like ringworm and MRSA.
This course helps gym owners and staff create a safe, respectful environment for members and employees. It covers what constitutes sexual harassment, how to recognize and prevent it, and the steps to take if an incident occurs.
You’ll also learn best practices for setting boundaries, handling complaints professionally, and fostering a positive gym culture where everyone feels comfortable and respected.
A certified CPR instructor can lead the in-person skills assessment portion of your training. This hands-on evaluation confirms that you can perform CPR techniques correctly and confidently, completing your certification requirements.
If you or someone else in your gym community is a certified CPR instructor, we can appoint them to lead the in-person assessment. We'll validate their certification is current and then they'll be able to complete the training assessment for you.
Many gyms will also designate one certified instructor on staff to help new coaches or team members complete their training efficiently.
